Join Anthony Ashenhurst, JD and Melinda Malecki, JD at the 2020 ICS Virtual Conference on October 17th for their presentation "Sexual Harassment Prevention Training".
Anthony Ashenhurst has been practicing healthcare law for over 25 years. He provides counsel to hospitals, physician groups and physician/hospital organizations.
Prior to joining Malecki & Brooks Law Group, Mr. Ashenhurst was a member of the health law practice group in the Chicago office of a large law firm and was previously Assistant General Counsel for UnityPoint Health, one of the largest health systems in the United States.
Mr. Ashenhurst has extensive experience in providing counsel to hospitals in such areas as the Stark Law, the Federal Antikickback Statute, HIPAA, EMTALA, physician issues, medical staff bylaws and credentialing issues.
He has experience in resolving employment issues in the health care setting involving employment discrimination, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act as well as employment contracts. He also has experience in negotiating labor agreements for hospitals and has reviewed, drafted and resolved issues relating to employment handbooks. Mr. Ashenhurst has developed and provides on-site training programs which meets the requirements of the Illinois Human Rights Act and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to combat all forms of harassment and disruptive behavior in the healthcare setting.
Mr. Ashenhurst has extensive experience in providing counsel to large behavioral health units and mental health centers relative to issues under the Illinois Mental Health Code and the Illinois Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Confidentiality Act.
As a clinician Dr. Bajaj specializes in Sacro-Occiptal-Technique, Chiropractic Craniopathy, Soft Tissue Orthopedics, Sports Chiropractic, Extremity Adjusting, Electro-Therapeutics and Custom Functional Foot Orthotics.
He served on the Executive Board of the New York Chiropractic Council From 2008 to 2010 as the President of the Manhattan District. He co-founded the American Decompression Pro Chiropractors which introduced the patented Neuro-Oxy Spinal Decompression Technique. His research in the fields of electrotherapeutics and cognitive function with correlations to bone metabolism has been published in peer-reviewed journals including BMC Endocrine Disorders. He has also authored articles on integrative care, extremity adjusting/sports chiropractic, and the advancement of Chiropractic Neurology. As an Anti-Aging expert Dr. Bajaj has served as instructor for the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and has lectured around the U.S. as well as in Paris, Singapore and Beijing as a guest of the World Congress on Anti-Aging.
Dr Bajaj has also appeared on the Dr Steve Show as sleep consultant and made numerous appearances on the Tara Marie Live Radio Show to discuss this approach to fitness and sports injury recovery. Recent research and training has included establishing clinical protocols for Transcranial Photobiomodulation with Cold Laser and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation for brain injury recovery. He is currently developing a novel wellness technology platform that provides healthcare practitioners and wellness seekers guidance in intentional management of stress.
Dr. Tim Bertelsman, DC, CCSP, FACO, graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic with honors and has been practicing in Belleville, Illinois, since 1992. He is a board-certified Chiropractic Sports Physician and a Diplomate of the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists. He has lectured nationally on various clinical and business topics and has been published extensively. He is a post-graduate instructor for the University of Bridgeport Orthopedic Diplomate program and is a member of the NCMIC Speakers’ Bureau. Dr. Bertelsman was selected as the Illinois Chiropractic Society Chiropractor of the Year in 2019. He has served in various leadership positions within the Illinois Chiropractic Society, including president of the executive board.

Dr. Greenstein is CEO of the Sport and Spine Companies – Sport and Spine Rehab, a six location practice in the Washington DC Metro region; Sport and Spine Athletics, Sport and Spine Rehab Clinical Research Foundation; and Kaizenovation® Lifestyle. Dr. Greenstein, is Chairman for the Council for Chiropractic Guidelines and Practice Parameters (CCGPP), is the Government Relations Chairman for the Chiropractic Summit, and is the World Olympians Scholarship Program Chairman. Dr. Greenstein served as a recommended provider for the National Football League Players Association for the Washington Redskins, and since 1997, has been the Official Team Chiropractor for the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders. Dr. Greenstein served as the Chiropractic Representative for the National Athletic Training Association, Inter-Association Task Force for Cervical Spine Injured Athletes, and the Maryland State Tae Kwon Do Association Medical Chairperson and team physician. Join Dr. Justin Hildebrand at the 2020 ICS Virtual Conference on October 17th for his presentations "Assessment and Treatment of the Glenohumeral Complex" and "Assessment and Treatment of the Knee"
Dr. Hildebrand graduated with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland University and with a bachelor's degree from Northwest Missouri State University.
More recently, he has pursued certification in acupuncture and dry needling and received a diplomat in rehabilitation. Additionally, Dr. Hildebrand has taken post-graduate courses in soft tissue (myofascial) release and taping. Dr. Hildebrand's training enables him to create individualized treatment plans centered on evidence-based protocols that are tailored to each patient’s condition and diagnosis. In addition to treating patients in the office, he goes to corporations to help employees avoid workers' compensation claims.

Kristi Hudson serves as the Director of Special Projects for ChiroHealthUSA and Administrator for the ChiroHealthUSA Foxworth Family Scholarship. Since 2010, she has helped educate chiropractors and their staffs on compliance issues related to faulty financial policies. She has been a guest lecturer for events hosted by Breakthrough Coaching, KMC University, Physician’s Business Solutions, and the Student ACA. She enjoys working with state associations, COCSA, the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress, and the Clinical Compass, to provide educational awareness on changes within the profession
Dr. Brian is a graduate of Palmer College, Dr. Brian Jensen was in private practice in Omaha, Nebraska for over 17 years. Dr. Jensen specializes in Structural Biomechanics and emphasizes nutrition and wellness principles. He lives in Roanoke, VA.
Melinda Malecki is a Health Law attorney with 30 years of corporate, regulatory, and risk management experience. She provides legal counsel, corporate compliance, and risk management services to physicians, practitioners, safety net hospitals and healthcare organizations, including federally qualified health centers.
Ms. Malecki began her career as a risk manager at Rush University Medical Center, Chicago. Later, she became the Director of Risk Management and Legal Services at West Suburban Medical Center, Oak Park, and eventually became the Medical Center’s General Counsel. While working for West Suburban, Ms. Malecki managed all legal services for the Medical Center’s administration and staff. She directed all insurance purchasing and significantly reduced the Medical Center’s financial exposure due to insurance expenses. She began the private practice of law in 2000 and continues to consult in all of the foregoing areas.
Ms. Malecki has extensive experience in the area of physician representation, including contract negotiation, sales and purchases of practices, and corporate disputes. Her work as a hospital attorney benefits her physician clients in dealing with such matters as medical staff issues and contractual negotiations.
One of Ms. Malecki’s greatest skills is handling risk management issues for healthcare organizations, particularly managing self insured retentions or trusts. She is frequently retained to create or redesign a risk management function / program for facilities that need to pass an accreditation or are at risk of losing insurance coverage.
Ms. Malecki serves on the board of the Oak Park Animal Care League.

Dr. Scott Munsterman is an acknowledged expert on the transforming model of health care delivery with a commitment to the promotion and advancement of the chiropractic profession. He has been a member of the American and South Dakota Chiropractic Associations since 1985 and was awarded Chiropractor of the Year in South Dakota in 2003, a Fellow of the International College of Chiropractors (FICC) in 2006 as well as awarded The Distinguished Alumnus Award from Northwestern Health Sciences University in 2012.
Dr. Munsterman has served as a former two-term Mayor and currently serves in the South Dakota State House of Representatives, where he chairs the House Health and Human Services Committee and the Legislative Planning Committee.
