Speaker:
Dr. Mario P Fucinari, DC, CPCO, CPPM, CIC
Duration:
1 hour

Description

The trend in the modern chiropractic office is a shift toward fewer chiropractors that own radiographic equipment.  While there are multiple reasons for this shift, it is important for the chiropractic physician to understand the importance of radiographs and the evidence-based practice guidelines in the use of imaging procedures in chiropractic. We will explore the importance of radiographic evaluation and the use of imaging to establish treatment protocols, without violating sound clinical decision tools.

Dr. Fucinari is a member of the Carrier Advisory Committee for Medicare, a Certified Professional Compliance Officer (CPCO), Certified Medical Compliance Specialist (MCS-P), and a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP®).  He is a frequent speaker for several organizations and post-graduate classes for chiropractic colleges, including the Foot Levelers speaker’s bureau.

Michael F - Oak Brook, Illinois

"He has several errors in regard to x-ray pathology. His message about the medical necessity for x-rays was great...but don't say things like RA only affecting C1 and a Riser of zero when is was very obviously a Riser 3. As a whole the message was good...but be careful in regard to pathology commentary."
