Chronic Diseases: What are the top 5 chronic diseases and how they affect our Chiropractic Outcomes

Chronic diseases, or noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), are long-lasting conditions caused by genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors. Many are preventable or even reversible with the right interventions.

Dr. Mullican will explore the five most common NCDs—heart disease, cancer, stroke, arthritis, and diabetes—and how they impact chiropractic outcomes. We’ll examine root causes and evidence-based strategies for prevention and management.

A strong connection has emerged between prediabetes and cardiovascular disease. Even before diabetes fully develops, patients can show signs of heart damage.

Every few seconds, someone is diagnosed with diabetes. Over 37 million U.S. adults have diabetes, and 96 million more have prediabetes—more than 1 in 3 Americans. Unlike many conditions, type 2 diabetes is often preventable.

This session will offer practical tools for lifestyle-based interventions and guidance on how to educate and engage patients in preventing and managing disease.
