Exercise Therapy for Treatment of Non-specific Low Back Pain

Join Dr. Duarte, Professor and Chair of Clinical Sciences at National University of Health Sciences, as he discusses which low back pain patients are candidates for exercise therapy.  He will discuss how to select the appropriate therapeutic exercises for the working diagnosis, resulting in an effective and patient friendly exercise program for your low back pain patient. This course was originally presented by Dr. Manuel Duarte on November 5, 2020, and sponsored by Foot Levelers.

Dr. Manuel A Duarte, DC, MSAc, DABCO, DACBSP, Professor and Chair of Clinical Sciences at National University of Health Sciences

Dr. Duarte's special interest is sports injuries, and he maintains a private practice in which he specializes in training both amateur and professional athletes. In addition to certifications as a chiropractic sports physician and strength training specialist, Dr. Duarte has also earned diplomates from the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedics and the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians.

He has been a full-time faculty member at NUHS for 19 years, serving on the chiropractic practice faculty as a clinician at National's Whole Health Center - Lombard and teaching in the postgraduate education program. He is now chair of clinical practice and chief clinician for the DC program. In 2013, he earned his master of science in acupuncture from NUHS.
