The five "pillars" of Positive Psychology are:

  • Positive emotions (the pleasant life), and one’s contentment with the past, happiness in the present, & hope for the future;
  • Positive character (the engaged life) like the character strengths of optimism, gratitude, curiosity, integrity, altruism & spirituality;
  • Positive institutions (the meaningful life), and why certain groups, families, organizations & communities thrive;
  • Positive relationships (other people matter) with those we live, work, & socialize with.
  • Positive accomplishments – the pursuit of success, winning, achievement and mastery for their own sake.

By utilizing a positive psychological mindset, we can build our resilience in flourish in today’s world.
