Cervical Artery Dissection

Vertebrobasilar stroke following manipulation is a topic that has generated great interest in the medical literature and popular media.  A thorough discussion of the topic is covered based upon the scientific evidence and a review and analysis of the American Heart Association/American Stroke  Association Scientific Statement is presented.  Prevention and action steps if this tragic event occurs in the chiropractic physician's office is also covered.

Dr. Stephan J Troyanovich, DC, Foot Levelers, Inc.
Dr. Steve Troyanovich is a 1987 Cum Laude graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. He has authored six books and authored or co-authored over 50 scientific journal articles regarding chiropractic evaluation and treatment methods. Dr. Troyanovich maintains a full-time private practice in Normal, Illinois and is a physician researcher for the Central Illinois Neuroscience Foundation where he also serves as the Chairman of their Research Committee. In his spare time, he is the Editor of the scholarly journal, Chiropractic History
