Chiropractic physicians who meet certain qualifications may medically certify a commercial driver's license (CDL) applicant to drive trucks or other commercial vehicles. This session provides an overview of the guidelines, requirements, principles, and practices required to perform a physical that will satisfy Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requirements. This session will provide the training required to allow the participant to take the certification test and register with the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners. This course also fulfills the 10-year re-certification requirement for chiropractic physicians previously certified by NRCME.
